Regarding All Orders

The shipping estimate shown at checkout is showing how long it should take to get to its destination after the order is delivered to the post office, not from the time you place your order. ERRA Books strives to send out orders in a timely manner however your order may take up to a week to be delivered to the post office.

Undeliverable Packages

Packages returned as undeliverable will be restocked and refunded to an ERRA Books gift card that will be emailed to you.Ā  A 10% restocking fee and the amount you paid for shipping will come out of your refund.Ā If you notice your item is being returned to us as undeliverable or has not been delivered to you within 2 days of the estimated delivery date, reach out to ERRA Books as soon as possible. If you have not reached out to ERRA Books within 30 days, we will not be able to help you and you will not be refunded. If you would like your Undeliverable Package resent to you, you will be invoiced for $10. Your package will be resent after the payment is received.Ā 

A package might be returned as undeliverable for several reasons:

  • The address is incorrect or outdated. Double check the address carefully when placing your order. To update your address on an existing order simply go to your account and update your address then send an email to hello@errabooks.com and we can finish processing the update for you.
  • Our system doesn't recognize the way an address was entered.
  • The package was assigned to a carrier that can't deliver to that address. Choose the correct shipping method applicable to your address.
  • You used a restricted address. If you send the order to a prison, correctional facility, or other similar institution, the products and/or carrier may be subject to specific restrictions.
  • The carrier attempted delivery but failed. Most of our carriers make more than one attempt to deliver a package. If they find that they can't successfully deliver your package, they'll return it to us.* Media mail is not subject to this and can be sent to the Mail Recovery Center and thus, not refundable as it is not returned to us. You will need to contact your local post office in this instance.
  • The recipient refused the delivery. If a gift recipient isn't expecting a gift, they may believe it's being delivered to them by mistake. In this case, we'll refund the gift purchaser and let them know by email. If you place a new order for the gift, we recommend telling the recipient to expect a surprise.
  • The address was illegible. In rare cases, address labels may become impossible to read in transit. If that happens, a carrier will return the package to us.
  • The package was damaged in transit. If a package is damaged while it's on its way to you, the carrier may return it without attempting delivery.

We can't reship orders that carriers return to us as undeliverable. If you still want to purchase items that were undeliverable, place a new order on our website.

If you haven't received confirmation that your order was returned or refunded four weeks after the estimated delivery date, contact us at hello@errabooks.com and your local post office.
